One Way Streets

If you're driving in from out of town, get a map of Madison that includes the street directions. Or, better yet, park and walk. Downtown can be easier on foot or by bike.
State St. is a pedestrian shopping stree which connects the Capital building to the UW campus - a lovely walk with great restaurants and window shopping.
Two good terraces to enjoy the view of the lakes: the Monona Terrace (the rooftop garden of a Frank Lloyd Wright building), and the Wisconsin Union Terrace (local beer and live music).

It's true. They say that you are a Madison local if you can easily navigate the one way streets downtown. It took me 8 years, but I've finally got it!

Can't wait to see you!
